We allocate grants to facilitate and develop various forms of study, so that they suit all irrespective of disability. We also evaluate and give feedback on the effects of grants paid out to the Ministry of Education and Research.
Education providers, producers of teaching materials and, in some cases, private individuals can apply for government funding from us. For work in compulsory schools, special needs schools or upper secondary schools, for example, it is possible to apply for funding for what is known as "special interventions in schools". This is a grant provided by SPSM to encourage and develop good learning environments for pupils with disabilities.
Other funding aimed at young people and adults, through education providers or directly to the student, is also available.
