
Link-it is updated regularly in order to solve the problems that may occur in the program, or to introduce new improved functions..
The installed program Link-it Create, or Link-it Use, can be updated free of charge if the computer is connected to the Internet. We recommend that you update your program regularly in order to get access to the best functionality.
At the moment you can update Link-it to version 1.5.2.
The updates may be up to 20 MB. If you are using a modem or have other difficulties with getting the update via the Internet, you can order the update on a CD free of charge.
If you select "About the product" from the Info menu in Link-it you can check the version of your program.
Problems connecting to the update function

This is how you update Link-it:
1. Close the program Link-it.
2. Select the "Update Link-it" option under "Link-it" in the "Start menu".
3. Click the "Update" button:

The program will now check if there are any available updates for Link-it. If there are any updates you will get the question if you want to "Run update" or "Save update".

4. Click "Run update". The update will be retrieved and installed automatically.
(Note! It takes between four and 40 minutes depending on the speed of your Internet connection.

Changes in version 1.0.6
- The problem that bold and underlined links sometimes were not visible when a Linked book was opened has now been solved. (Link-it Create/Use)

- The button used for selecting destination folder when using "Save as" has changed name from "Select" to "OK". (Link-it Create)

Changes in version 1.5.0
- The dialog "New Link list" will now display the location where the Link list will be placed and also provide the user with the possibility to select another location (Link-it Create)
- The dialog "New Bookmark list" will display the location where the bookmark list will be placed and also provide the user with the possibility to select another location. (Link-it Create/Use)
- The dialog "Save Bookmark list" will display the location where the bookmark list will be saved and also provide the user with the possibility to select another location and another name. (Link-it Create/Use)
- During the installation of Link-it school license you have the possibility to install a steering file in any location on the network. In the steering file you can specify search paths to the default folders that will be suggested for: Open Link list, New Link list, Open video etc. (Link-it Create school license)
- The choice "Cancel" is now available when you have clicked "Finish Link-it" and the Link list has not been saved. (Link-it Create)
- You can now choose to not show the dialog that is displayed when starting Link-it and the screen mode is not 800x600. (Link-it Create/Use/Demo and Linked book)
- The way to check if Link-it running or not has been changed. You will no longer see the dialog "Link-it is already running" if you happen to have a document open called Link-it or some other previously forbidden name. (Link-it Create/Use/Demo and Linked book)
- You can now add pictures in the BMP, GIF and JPEG formats. It will take a little bit longer to display the pictures. However, it is possible to change the picture size. It will also take less space than previously.
- You can now use capitals and hyphens in bookmark list names. Previously when clicking Save you sometimes got the message that the bookmark list already existed and you needed to choose another name. This has been solved.
