Question no 3:
How long video files can you have in Link-it?
Answer:
A video file should not be larger than approximately 200mb. It corresponds to approximately 30-40 minutes of video in mpeg1 format. Several shorter video files are easier to play than one very long file. If you have a long video file you should divide it into two or several files.

Question no 4:
I need step by step instruction as to how to install the video into link it create. Do I need firewire and what format must the video be in (dvd, cd rom, mini dv?)?
Answer:
These (computer) video formats can be replayed as standard in all computers with Link-it:
Avi (avi)
MPEG1 (mpeg, mpg, mpe, m1v, mpa)
We recommend that you use the format mpeg1 because the image quality in comparison with the file size in Mb is good. This makes the sequences easy to replay and store. Mpeg1 is a good choice if you want to place your Link list or Linked book on a CD to give away or save.
From camera to PC
How to make Mpeg1? At first you have to record the movie in the camera. Then you have to transfer (Capture) the movie to the computer.
There are many different types of equipments for Capturing video. Which to choose depends on if you are filming with an analogue format (VHS, S-VHS) or a digital format (DV)
Studio 9" from Pinnacle is a very good and low cost tool for capturing and editing video.
You can buy the "naked" Studio 9 software if the computer already has an IEEE1394/FireWire interface and if you own a DV camera.
If you are still working with an analog camera or if the computer has no FireWire interface, it is worthwhile to get one of the hardware bundles given below.
We recommend using a DV Camera and firewire (or Usb2) because it gives the best quality when you finally convert to mpeg1.

Question no 5:
I have captured the video to the computer but the AVI format is too big and my software don't support converting to Mpeg1. Is there any free software to convert AVI to Mpeg1?
Answer:
I do strongly recommend using TMPGEnc to convert any avi file into a MPEG-1.It's free, and works quite well.
There are some good tutorials on how to use it (to convert video) over at VCDHelp.com, which you can visit here (scroll down to chapter "converting").
